I have been waiting a long time for this and I recently discovered Napkin.ai. I assume this has been available for sometime now but my experience in the past working with GenAI image generator tools was not that great.
Some background first. I suck at creating captivating visuals for my slides. My content is always rich but my visual design skills leave a lot to be desired. If this were the SAT, I would get 800 on content and 500 on design.
I have always been in awe of people like Jeremy Blaney, Brandon Ralls, Katie Summers , Jonathan Dugger who could spin up stunning visuals. I was also extremely aware of how good visuals can make such a big difference in any presentation but try as I might I could never get the colors right, I could not get the font right, I did not know how to present the information with the right visual and whatever I created was blah.
What hurt even more was that I spent 8 years at Tableau surrounded by amazing visual thinkers.
Here is an example of something I created to talk about the various Product Options companies have when they think about leveraging GenAI. As you can see it is a 2/5. Gets the point across, but blah.
I started playing around with Napkin.ai (and I am sure there are quite a few others that can do this) and it's ability to generate high quality business visuals that capture what I am trying to communicate has been amazing.
Here is a Napkin.ai's attempt on the above -
Just looking at this you can see how much better this new design is and all I had to do was feed it my content and it generated this.
Here are some more it came up with
Here is one that is not a quadrant
While it isn't at the quality of the experts in this craft but it definitely took me from a 2/5 to a 4/5.
Here are a couple other visuals it generated. I needed a visual to explain what an AI agent is and one to talk about the levels of autonomy.
I gave it this text from the AWS website - https://aws.amazon.com/what-is/ai-agents/
An artificial intelligence (AI) agent is a software program that can interact with its environment, collect data, and use the data to perform self-determined tasks to meet predetermined goals. Humans set goals, but an AI agent independently chooses the best actions it needs to perform to achieve those goals. For example, consider a contact center AI agent that wants to resolves customer queries. The agent will automatically ask the customer different questions, look up information in internal documents, and respond with a solution. Based on the customer responses, it determines if it can resolve the query itself or pass it on to a human.
So those of you who are like me and struggle generating captivating visuals, try out Napkin.ai.
